Doors are scary. You can never be sure, who will enter next. Will they only step into your room or invade your life? And when they leave, will you part on friendly terms or as enemies? You never know.
In Kertu Moppel’s “Bloody Mary”, a married couple barely has time to enjoy their new sofa and curtains, when the doorbell rings. A fateful ring announces that the hour of change has arrived. As the door opens, things get messy, slowly but surely.
The night’s entertainment consists of games, the winners and losers of which are hard to tell apart. Egos crumble and self-worth is revalued quicker than shares on the stock market. The lines between the real and the imaginary disappear. If it’s a person’s self-image participating in the game, does the “real me” watch from the sidelines or play along? Did anyone ever really know?
