The Magic Flute. Remixed and Explained

One-time performance at the Baltoscandal festival 3.07.2008.

This performance, originally meant for the whole troup of Von Krahl Theatre, is now performed as a solo by Peeter Jalakas. The Von Krahl technicians Enar Tarmo, Janno “John” Jaanus and Oliver Kulpsoo perform as singers. One aria is sung by the actor Juhan Ulfsak.

Alchemic tragedy.
Von Krahl Theatre performance Magic Flute is about the period in the history of mankind, which broadly fits in between the birth of Mozart and the opening of KuMu (Kumu Art Museum in Tallinn, opened in February 2006); the period that is described by the belief to progress and the possibility to interpret the world rationally. We are at the beginning of the end of this period, which could also be called an oil era.

The original version was premiered in the 8th of March 2006 at Von Krahl Theatre.
Last performance in the 11th of November 2007.
